For decades I was a fanatical trail runner and mountain biker. TrailApe was a nickname. I started habitually carrying a disposable camera with me while running. I wanted to preserve the beauty I experienced on the trails. An artificial hip changed my running to hiking. I also progressed to carrying a small, powerful point and shoot camera to continue recording nature’s beauty. I further evolved into using PaintShop Pro to edit my pictures and create new images. As my photo collection grew, it became obvious that I needed to share the beauty I have experienced.
PLEASE NOTE: In addition to adding watermarks, these photographs have been reduced in size, in some cases substantially to accommodate Internet memory constraints. Unfortunately this can affect both the clarity and colour of the photographs to varying degrees. The unmodified pictures are available with a much higher resolution and with richer colours. All pictures can be cropped to satisfy format requirements.
